Although the Rhine and its tributaries and the Danube remain the major river cruise destinations in Europe, we knew how to develop creative itineraries that appeal to everyone. But we also knew it was important to expand our cruises to unique destinations. These include the Seine and the Rhône, of course, but also the Tisza in Hungary, the Guadalquivir in Spain, the Douro in Portugal, the Dordogne and the Garonne in Bordeaux. Don’t forget our more exotic destinations as well: the Mekong in Vietnam and Lake Kariba in Zimbabwe.
In 2018, CroisiEurope saw the launch of the Brand New African Dream, a 16 passenger yacht cruising Lake Kariba in Zimbabwe. It's the company's first vessel in Africa, and is combined with a trip to the CroisiEurope owned Cascade Lodge for the land portion of the Safari. Spring 2018 saw the launch of 3 European Vessels - The Elbe Princess II in Berlin, the Van Gogh on the Rhone, and the Renoir on the Seine, all rated 5 Anchor Class and joining the largest and most diverse fleet of ships in Europe. In 2019, look for the Amalia Rodrigues to join our fleet on Portugal's Douro River, a rebuilt Victor Hugo cruising the Rhine and its' tributaries, and a fourth ship to join our offers on France's Rhone.
