At least that’s what it is when doing so in the Atlantic Ocean.
Nice, fun, entirebodygoingnumb, frolicking…
Mike, Ryan (his brother), and I took a 16-mile bike ride to spend the morning at the beach. The ride was absolutely gorgeous as we rode though back roads, over rolling hills, and past quaint homes. I wish we had pulled the camera out during the ride, but unfortunately all we had was our SLR…so it had to stay tucked away until we got to the beach. That’s okay, though- the beach was just as beautiful.
And did I mention busy? Everybody was out enjoying the nice weather!
We didn’t waste any time getting in the water once finding an empty spot in the sand to put our stuff down. I cautiously walked to the water and slowly eased in while Ryan dashed right by me and ran as fast as he could straight in. Like I mentioned, the water was freezing…but the guys were having fun in the water so I had to join!
It wasn’t so bad once our bodies went numb. 
We rode the waves a little (being taken under a few times…) until finally deciding it’d be a good idea to get some feeling back in our legs. So we took a walk along the water to get the blood flowing again.
Such handsome brothers, huh?
It was a fantastic morning- relaxing, fun, and it even had a nice little workout thrown in. But next time, I’m thinking sandcastles are in order…
After freezing our butts off again, of course.

EXACTLY what I was going to say! I never go to the Beach….I wish I lived like right next to one…I could go there and read everyday ;) – and look for hot guys :)
ah i really want to get to a beach this summer. i most enjoy swimming!
Just having warm enough weather to wear a bikini got me jealous (wearing two jumpers at the moment!) but the beach is so beautiful; I need to book a holiday :-)

Aw this looks like such a fun day! I’m definitely a swimmer myself (though I would LOVE to know how to surf!)
I love sunbathing and looking in tide pools for starfish and crabs!
I really enjoy just laying out in the sun with some friends, some music, and a book!! I like doing all the physical activities…but sometimes it’s just so nice to relax in the sunshine :)

Jealous! I’m lookin’ outside and seeing clouds and rain, so that beach is looking mighty fine! I’m actually one of those weird people that don’t really like getting wet, so I’d have to say that sunbathing is my favorite beach activity. But I do like to walk in the surf (I know, I’m so hardcore) and look for seashells :D

Never been to beaches on the east coast. I live in Louisiana so we always go to the gulf coast. I did go to Hawaii once :)
We are hitting the beach next weekend for our anniversary, your pics have me longing to go now!
Well, the gulf and Pacific are MUCH warmer…so I’d say stick with those. ;)
