Aside from the usual

G’day!

And what a busy one it has been at that!!  You know, moving from the bed to the couch takes a lot of energy. Wink

In all seriousness, that’s about the extent of my activity so far.  It feels like I’ve gone from light-speed to a standstill compared to yesterday’s full schedule, but that’s alright.

Being super duper lazy is what break’s all about after all, right?

Breakfast

My eyes kept trying to peep open early this morning but I did my best to convince them to let me sleep in.  They gave in for a little bit until my stomach joined in on the fight, too.

Eyes are easy to hush, the tummy isn’t.

This bowl was a bit different because it didn’t have the usual staples:  cottage cheese, banana, cinnamon, and wheat bran.   I was a bit skeptical of how it’d hold up…but it held it’s ground pretty well.

A simple mix of:

  • 1/2 cup oats, water, salt
  • 3 big strawberries
  • 1/2 cup blueberries
  • Reddi Whip
  • Graham cracker

I’ll admit, I missed the cinnamon..but going back to the basics was nice. Smile

The rest of the morning was spent practicing teaching yoga (I’m really nervous about personal training starting next week…eek!!) and going over the bo kata for the competition coming up (another eek!).

More practice will come, but first..food.

Lunch

Seriouslylacking in color, but I did what I could at the moment.  At least the eggs would have been colorful had it not been for the sear!  Because within it’s brown exterior was 4 egg whites, salsa, and shredded spinach served alongside a crisp apple and more brown carbs.

Yep, definitely a lazy day..but I do have big plans this evening!!  Of which I’m really nervous anxious about..but more on that tomorrow!

For now, I’m off to do some grocery shopping.  There isn’t even any cereal in this house- how I’ve managed these few hours is beyond me! Wink

See you soon!

Always love the giant oat bowl! Grocery staples include lots of fruit! I pick some up every time I shop, usually bananas, apples, and anything else in season (berries, grapes, etc)! Can’t live without ‘em.

I really think you’ll rock the yoga training, Mary. Just relax…isn’t that what yoga is all about? ;-)

My staple is eggs right now. I just bought 54 eggs from Costco. Hee hee!!

That thought’s the only thing that calms me down before every session! Weird how such a calming routine can cause so many butterflies!

Awesome you scored so many eggs, too..I recently switched over to buying 30 at a time but could go for 54! haha Kroger doesn’t support that, though.

It’s got to be sandwiche bread. I don’t cook so I eat a lot of sandwiches!! Lol! I also have to have yogurt or other things that I eat for breakfast, because If I don’t have a good breakfast it will surely throw my whole day off !
