Good morning!
I slept for exactly 8.5 hours with an unusual urge to go for a run. I’ve mentioned before I used to run outside all the time until I developed runner’s knee. Since then I barely have- especially when at school since the only place to run is on the road..and a lot of cars don’t move over. Sunday morning’s traffic usually consists of two or three cars..so I knew it’d be the perfect time to head out.
I stepped out the door, and was greeted by this.

Beautiful? Yes. Hot? Yes. I thought it’d be somewhat cool being 7:30 in the morning, but nope. There was a slight breeze for some of it, though..at least it’s something!
I wasn’t out long and I have no idea how far I went. I’m guessing 4 miles gauging from my usual walk/jog pace? Seems about right. Annnd all the cars were nice enough to move over
Thanks, drivers!
I was a sweaty mess by the end but it felt gooood. Oh, and no knee pain! ![]()
Home. Stretch. Shower. EAT.
Breakfast
Today was definitely a sweet-breakfast kinda day. But that’s usually the case anyway. ![]()

In the bowl:
- 1/3 cup oats
- 2/3 cup Lactaid
- splash pure vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup cottage cheese
- strawbs
Topped with more strawberries, Cascadian Farms granola, crushed vanilla meringue.

Kind like a strawberry cream pie shortcake type thing? A hybrid of two desserts for breakfast..I’ll take it. ![]()
Off to brace the heat again with some stable time. Better get out there before I change my mind.
See you soon!
**Do you like to run outside, inside, or not at all? I prefer it to be outside since treadmill running is..bleh..but road runnings so much harder on the knees. Give and take I guess. ![]()

Yay for no knee pain!
I most DEF. prefer running outside. By a million fold. For me, the joy of running is all about being outside and feeling like I’m going places (instead of remaining in one spot on a treadmill).
Oh and I loveee that granola :)
Running outside for me is pretty much the only way to go unless I have a friend to keep me company when in the gym.. even then I don’t like it much. Time just flies so much quicker when you’re running outside.
I love to run outside but am pretty much limited to running on pavement. It’s definitely harder on my legs but the fresh air and scenery is worth it!
I’m defnitely an outside runner! Makes running so much more enjoyable. Running on a treadmill gets too boring for me and then my runs feel like they take forever.
I LOVE to run outside- the scenery changes during the year, the fresh air, the sunshine, even the wind and the rain can be invogorating! The fresh air instead of air conditioned air is soooo much nicer!
:)
omg i want those oats so badly right now :)
Auburn? That’s where my dad went! :)
Awesome!! Small world, huh? :)
Looks like a great run!! I like to run outside but it really bothers my lungs so I avoid it….
