Tradition

Today, I took a walk in a winter wonderland.

If huge piles of toilet paper count as a wonderland, that is.

Toomer’s Corner is a historic spot right on the edge of campus and it’s an Auburn tradition to roll the corner after every home game win.  Well, we won last night!!   Not only that..but we’re now Champions of the SEC West.  Woot woot! Wink

I’m usually not a die-hard follower of football, but when your school happens to have a kick-butt team that year, you gotta love it.  I know, such a disloyal fan.

I’ve never been fortunate enough to take part in the rolling after games but luckily the place was still covered this morning.  I knew it’d be a glorious mess, but I didn’t expect it go so so far into campus as it did.  Rowdy fans really know how to TP!

‘Gotta love school spirit!  Sadly this was the last rolling of the year since there aren’t any more home games..but I’ll definitely be taking part in the fun next year!!

Which leads me into two very important gratitude nugget for today:

Nugget #11 and #12

School spirit and people who take the time to clean up school spirit.  Celebrating’s great, littering is not!  So I’m glad there are people willing to get together to clean the campus after the thousands of fans have left their marks.

~~

Welp, I’m off to enjoy the rest of this day with tons of lovely notes- two tests tomorrow. Nerd  Have a good one!

**Have you ever gone TPing?

**Any school/family traditions?  Doesn’t have to be sport-related!

I’ve been avictim of a rolled yard before, and someone once forked my yard too. (with plastic forks in the ground!). I’v rolled someone’s mailbox, but that’s as far as we got, because it was dark and we chickened out! Haha! I love seeing Tomer’s Corner rolled! I haven’t been by there this weekend so I didn’t see it, but it’s such a cool tradition I must say! Auburn kicks a**!! :)

Wow–What a messy, fun tradition! Congrats to Auburn for winning the SEC East!

I went TPing several times in junior high…It was fun, but I felt so naughty doing it. What wasn’t fun was when the favor was returned. Picking up toilet paper (especially after a rain!) is NOT an enjoyable weekend activity!

I sure hope sCam Newton doesn’t turn out to be guilty… it’d be a shame to have that great season stripped from you.

…OK, OK, this is coming from a bitter UGA grad ;)

What a game to watch, right?! And yes, as much as it pains me to admit it, yall are incredible this season.

That was a really awesome game!! And even a fist fight?! hahaha Never thought I’d see that in football. :P Too bad it might hurt us in the Iron Bowl, though since those players will have to sit out for half of it.

GA played a good game, too! So you should definitely be proud. :)

WOW! That’s a lot of toilet paper! I wouldn’t want to be the one to clean it up, but I bet it’s fun to roll it out. ;)

A whole cleaning crew comes out to strip it all down- they usually have it spotless by noon the next day! So I was glad to get there before they did :P
